Radio Interview With Rick Dees

Avril did an interview on Rick Dees radio show. Here it is:

Rick: From the pictures I see, Avril, it seems you have cut back on the mascara underneath your eyes?
Avril: (laughs) Err, I guess sometimes I don't wear much black eye make-up, but I still do.

Rick: Is that your trademark?

Avril: Um, I guess in some ways it is.

Rick: Because when I think of you, I think of that. But the picture they're showing me now, they must have caught you with no eye make-up on and both versions look great to me.

Avril: Aw, thank you.

Rick: Congratulations on 'Keep Holding On', did you write this song?

Avril: Yes I wrote 'Keep Holding On' for the movie 'Eragon' and it's an amazing film about a young boy who becomes a dragon rider and about finding your destiny. This is the first time I've written a song just for a movie, it's a ballad, it's a nice song, it's very cool.

Rick: What a great feeling- you go into the theatre and then you and your music come up, it must give you chills.

Avril: That was really amazing, I was really excited for that.

Rick: 'Keep Holding On' is our highest debut on the countdown this week, it all started five years ago with 'Complicated' and now there's the pressure of being one of the most influential women in Canada, that's an honor isn't it?

Avril: It is a huge honor, yes.

Rick: Did you use Avril Whibley?

Avril: Legally I'm Avril Lavigne Whibley but on my records and stuff I'm still Avril Lavigne.

Rick: It's been an incredible journey for you, but what's planned for 2007?

Avril: Well, um, at the beginning of February I have my first single from my record coming out, because 'Keep Holding On' was for the movie Eragon, and in, like, April my record will come out.
